BFAR 4A Supports DA’s Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita Program The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 4A participated in Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita conducted by the Department of Agriculture Region 4A at Brgy. Batong Malaki Covered Court, Los Banos Laguna. The activity was headed by Editha M. Salvosa, Chief of Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) and graced by the presence of BFAR 4A Regional Director Sammy A. Malvas. The Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita is a Department of Agriculture program launched in 2019, which aims to ensure food commodities availability and accessibility in high consumer demand areas by encouraging the participation of private sector, enhance the capacity of farmers cooperatives and associations, and engaging community organizations’ participation in food supply distribution system. Through the BFAR 4A FPHMD headed by Ms. Hermosa Ramirez, four (4) partner organizations were invited and assisted to participate in the program by selling their products. These are the Bowliw Fisherman Association, Fishers Multi-purpose Cooperative, Tuntungin-Putho Womens brigade and Yeyes Tinapa.

A total sale of Php 65,615.00 was generated on the said event composed of 300kg. marine fishes from Bongliw Fisherman Association, 14 bottles fish paste, 7 bottles fish sauce from Fishers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, 11 packs smoked fish from Yeyes Tinapa, and 40 kg. milkfish and 40 kg. tilapia Tuntungin-Putho Women’s Brigade.
