IN PHOTOS: The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources 4A distributed a total of 63,578 pieces of mangrove crab instars to target beneficiaries from various municipalities of Quezon province today (February 27).
Beneficiaries from Tagkawayan received 15,000 pcs., Padre Burgos with 5,000 pcs., Gumaca with 3,000 pcs., Pitogo with 10,000 pcs., Lopez with 2,578 pcs. and Alabat with 31,000 pcs.
The said distribution was one of the activities under the Bureau’s Legislated Multi-Species Marine Hatchery in CALABARZON which aims to address the scarcity in the supply of crab instars and other high-value aquaculture species and limited income of the communities from the fishing sector.
