Under the Save Manila Bay Program, BFAR CALABARZON conducted an Orientation on Good Aquaculture Practices (GAqP) and Fish Health Management on March 18, 2026, at Cavite State University–Naic.

The activity was attended by fisherfolk, LGU staff, and aquafarm owners from the coastal areas of Cavite.

The orientation explained ways to improve fish farming practices in ponds, fish cages, and other aquaculture systems. Topics included proper stocking density, appropriate feeding practices, and proper fish care to prevent diseases and fish kills.

The activity aimed to equip fisherfolk and aquaculture stakeholders with sufficient knowledge to strengthen their livelihoods and ensure continuous fish production.
