As the beginning of the year 2026 unfolds, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) CALABARZON conducted a Year-End Review and Assessment, alongside the Regional Management Committee meeting, on January 19-21, 2026.

Regional Director Sammy A. Malvas led the meeting, where he provided clear direction and guidance to the officials and staff to further improve the implementation of BFAR 4A’s programs and projects this year.

The meeting also discussed the achievements and challenges of last year’s programs, as well as the physical and financial plans for CY2026. This is in preparation for the next steps and the collective execution of the bureau towards protecting and developing the fisheries sector in the CALABARZON region. (/mrcamilon)
