In response to the requests for livelihood assistance under the Fisheries Development Program-Fisheries Production and Distribution, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources 4A (BFAR 4A) through the Fisheries Prouction and Support Service Division (FPSSD) and Provincial Fisheries Office (PFO)-Laguna dispersed 55, 000 pieces of tilapia fingerlings to fisherfolk and academe, last September 3, 2020.

A total of 30,000 pieces of tilapia fingerlings to the 17 fisherfolk beneficiaries of Liliw, Laguna; 20,000 pieces of fingerlings to Mr. Ruperto Olivares from LSPU-Los Baños for his research; and 5,000 pieces of fingerlings to Mr. Francis Laurin from Luisiana, Laguna for his backyard pond.

The distribution was led by FPSSD staff, Angelo Salon with PFO-Laguna staff John Dave Dayo and Laiza Madrona.
